Check this out, i bought these some sort of aloe looking plants a year ago for par euros in a greenshop, i putted them next to my "normal aloes" in full ground but never thought they would survive!





Normal Aloes:





In the middle the P.Dactylifera seedling, looks nice and green after cold winter.

Thanx Bukezi, its a strong C.Humilis! I didnt protect the leafes and no leaf damage at all!

Biggest C.Revoluta is starting to make new leafes

Very nice Yatay. Maybe if you dig out P. canariensis.
You have to find a place for such nice Butia

Mate, why don't you dig out your washingtonia and plant butia instead? Few more years and it will be too big. You can donate washingtonia to local botanical garden or plant it somewhere in countryside...

@Scalar, before heavy frost i put it next to the other exotics under the roof and put a christmas light around the base to kee the soil free ice, it was wet because of heavy rain. I think under the roof absolute minimum was -9/-10 for about 2 or 3 nights.

I like the canariensis very much, the Yatay will not do great there because there is not to much sun at that place.
To replace the washi is an option because it is getting to big and i have to take action end of this year, but that place also had less sun and i think the Yatay needs as much sun as it can get (especially in my climate with less sun hours).

Situation is difficult but you have at least whole summer to think about it and enjoy at the same time.

Thats true, thanks for the advice allready! Maybe if my B.Armata wont survive i put it in that place, on the other hand that part of the garden is allready so full. Indeed, at the end of summer, you all will know.
