Mate's garden - Nizozemska

P.Roebelinii Edi, i have got her for 5 years now but 2 winters ago she was out to long and i almost killed her, Last summer she came back with lots of small leafes but again this winter she was still out while it was freezing. Now she's inside, in front of the south window but doesnt look to good. She is still alive and i have to give her some extra attention so she will be as pretty as before. Trunk is 1.3meters long.

Phoenix robellini is very demanding palm.

As i was writing my last post to Alias, i looked to the Robelinii in front of me and thought, you look worse then the picture i posted here (made it a week ago). I pulled a spear and it came out and after that a nother one  

Now im really thinking about to get a duo or triple trunked P.Robelinii of the same hight. I have seen one in a big garden centre for 150 euros, it was huge!!

You are right Branimir, it used to help to take her out for some months late spring/summer and than put her back in. They love high humidity and lots of water. In the house humidity is to low and i used to sprinkle her with water now and than. After that i didnt gave her much attention and slowly went downhill.

Today i replanted my Olea europa, it got to big for that place. Instead of the Olea i planted my B.Yatay there.
To get out the Olea was a very heavy job because it had roots which were as big as the trunk.

No damage, full of leaves, it even has old olives on it from last summer/autumn.

Jeli znaš koje je sorte maslina?

I dont know  It was the first tree i planted in my garden when i moved here about 5 years ago.
