Verry marginal in Europe, except fo rsome coastal parts of southern Spain. It needs a lot of warmth even during winter. Gileno Machado (a palm grower from Recife, Brazil) was shocked, when he saw this plan in my garden, because it has the reputation of a tropical plant.
