Hello to you too, and welcome to Palmapedia.

The reason we haven't really been discussing any other Actinidia species is because the edible Actinidia deliciosa is hardy enough to survive in our climate and to bear fruit every year, so we didn't need to look into species that don't bear as much fruit or bear fruit of inferior quality, no matter how hardy those species might be.

The truth is, in continental parts of ex-Yugoslavia, temperatures rarely dip below -15 degrees, long periods of continued frost are a rare occurrence, we have long, hot, sunny summers and relatively warm springs and autumns, so many "semi-subtropical" plants can grow here with little difficulty. The Adriatic coast has a typical Mediterranean subtropical climate, so again, no reason to look into very hardy species that don't grow as well when the real deal is available.
