ima puno netipčnih kanarki na rivi počevši od debljine debla pa forme listova...meni ovo pari čak čista kanarka...

Slažem se. Ne bih nikad za nju rekao da je dactylifera.

Two dactylifera specimens (female and male) grow in front of a hotel entrance in Athens in a very shady place. Besides they trim them badly every year (shuttlecock appearance). But I managed to find yesterday 6 fruits around the base of the plant. They are still unripe (probably beacause fruitstalks had been removed during recent trimming, but the seeds inside are perfect! By the condition of seeds (hard, brown wood) I estimate that those fruits would be fully ripe until end of November. Does anyone know which variety those dates belong to? I have added in the pictures below a coin of 1 euro for scale. For sure they are not medjool because seeds lack the characteristic 'wings'.

Very good genes , all six seeds germinated and two seedlings are already on second leaf. I wonder how seedlings of Trava are doing, since they originate from seeds of same plant. Smaller seedling in center is a reclinata x dactylifera hybrid and it is slower than those genuine dactylifera.

Da li misliš na one tri proklijale sjemenke ,od prije 2 godine?Jedna je propala,druge dvije su odlične,prave samo duge uske listove,vrlo neobična dactylifera.

Trava, I have the impression that you do not refer to same date palm. I remember that I had sent to you another two silver leaf seedlings with needle like strap leaf from a date tree producing purple (khalaal) abd then black (rutab) dates.

All 6 seedlings survived and and are now on second leaf. Really very good genes. Unfortunately I run out of place in my garden and therefore I can not keep them. So if anyone in the forum is interested in them, I can send all of them bare rooted, I just need either a refund for the postage or an exchange with other seeds or seedlings.

Evo i medulinske dactylifere, ima već 5 godina da su posađene. Većina je u odličnom stanju, samo 2 su nekako zbijene s kratkim listovima...
