Pokud jsem dobře počítal, tak ten největší trachycarpus má 16-18 let, ten menší má 7-10 let.
Trachycarpusy jsou v zemi pořád, palmy v květináčích zandavám do zimní zahrady. ( Zimní minima až -20 )
A ještě jednou se omlouvám za zmatek ohledně Phoenix roebelinii :icon_redface: :misli: .

To je već odrasla palma i otpornost bi joj trebala biti ok.
Ipak prve zime bi barem pasivna zaštita za svaki slučaj dobro došla.

Tak te mapě osobně moc nevěřim, ona je myslím německa. Podle němcu tady máme sibiř. Protože mám taky nejaké německé knížky o palmach, citrusech a píšou tam třeba že poncirus možna vydrži i -20, u nás vydržela i -26. To myslím hlavně ty jejich teploty, němci ví hov.. . Nebo když mi někdo tvrdí že v Ostravě je zima, ale nikdy tady osobně nebyl :icon_exclaim: To je asi když by mi egipt'an radil jak mám zazimovat trachyho :icon_razz:

Ovar, you should understand that I am a linguist and that what I see as a linguistic challenge, others see as an obstacle. I would prefer communicating with fellow Slavs in any Slavic language or dialect over English, but the administrators and most forum members would rather understand the content of your posts, however vaguely English may confer the meaning that a Slav should like to convey, then roam through the unusual stream of familiar but non-understandable words that laymen see other Slavic languages as, searching for a meaning. After all, palms, rather than linguistics, are the main focal point of this forum.
My remark was made at a time when there was no clear decision on what languages are to be used on the forum, and I apologize for causing this confusion.

Nikad nisam na taj nacin razmisljao. :icon_lol: Ali si u pravu.Bas je zavejalo u Ceskoj, ovde u Bg-u jos nista od zime, samo da se ne ureknem.Da li je istina da kad je mnogo hladno da treba zaliti palmu jer ce se ta voda zalediti i onemoguciti hladnom vazduhu da prodre dole i da smrzne korenje. :misli: To mi komsinica kaze, ja se bas i ne usudjujem, mada je teoretski moguce.

Ma samo ti napravi dobar malc oko nje i ne brini netreba zimi mnogo vode palmama mada ponekad ih treba zaliti ali ne da stalno imaju vlage oko korena pusti komsinicu neka ona sa vodom stiti palme od mraza.

Ne, nemoj nikako to raditi! Prvo led nije dobar izolator, snijeg je puno bolji, jer nije toliko kompaktan, sadrži mjehuriće zraka. Drugo, sad je palmi bitno da je zemlja što više suha, jer biljka osmozom povlaći vodu iz tla, i što je ima više u tlu, ima je više u biljci, a višak vode snižava razinu šećera u biljci, i time ju čini manje otpornom na minuse. Zemlja je sama po sebi veliki spremnik topline, i još uvijek je relativno topla, posebno u krajevima gdje još nije bilo jače zime. Zato kad malčiraš oko biljke usporavaš hlađenje zemlje, i dodatno izoliraš korijen od hladnoće odozgor.
Ima jedan drugi način koji se primjenjuje u nasadima agruma na jugu SAD-a; oni prije dolaska hladnoća polijevaju zemlju u voćnjacima vodom, ali ne oko samih biljaka, nego dalje, van dosega korijenja. Voda je veliki spremnik topline i njenim hlađenjem, kada dođe hladnoća, oslobađa se dosta topline i tako usporavaju hlađenje zraka u voćnjacima.
Drugi način je kada dođe hladnoća polijevanje krošnje biljke sitnim, raspršenim kapljicama vode, pomoću mikrosprinkler sustava. Tada se na krošnjama počne formirati led, ali kako se stalno rasprskuju nove kapljice vode temperatura samog leda ne pada puno ispod 0 C. Taj način je kompliciran i skup, i moguć samo u profesionalnim nasadima, a i vrijedi tamo gdje hladnoće traju nekoliko sati. U uvjetima vezanih ledenih dana, nakon nekog vremena na biljkama bi se formiralo toliko leda da bi se grane jednostavno slomile od težine.

Kod nas u prolece kad krenu kasni mrazevi da bi se sacuvavali orasi koji su vec izlistali ljudi ispod stabla zapale stare gume i to dimi celu noc da ih ne bi mraz ostetio ali to nije primenljivo na palmama.

This is the problem what all seed dealers have, but this is the gamble we need to take to get new varieties from remote locations

T. takil se razlikuje od fortuneia u mladoj fazi i odrasloj. Klijanci imaju 2 ponekad 3 ruba rebara. Ako se pojave s 4 uglavnom nisu čisti, ili su hibridi ili su neka druga vrsta, vjerojatno T. fortunei, odnosno T. fortunei nainital. It's little grower's disaster :thumb_down:. Czech republic had very hot april, but May is very cold. Today was -3,5°C, tomorrow -3,2°C etc... I dont remember that at May probably... But next week to be warming to 25 - 30°C. It's crazy, 2 days ago was in north Bohemia -13°C and 30 cm of new snow :rofl: :misli:. Ovar, me and other Czech growers didn't understand that :lol:.

Big palms I have in winter garden (tropik palms, through winter 15-20°C), or in box over Phoenix (through winter 0-5°C).
Yes, washi is filifera or filibusta :thumb_up:.
On start film is Archothophoenix alexandrae (in black flowerpot).
I have over the year many work with my palm and bananas :thumb_up: , but I like it :0648: .
