Very difficult to be evolved a CIDP without spikes. But there are already cultivars of dactylifera with scarce spikes running almost parallel ro the petiole, which therefore do not form an impenetrable thicket. I have already located two such dactylifera specimens in Athens, meaning that they are not a coincidence but a certain variety!
