I have talked today with a witness of the Chamaerops stand in Pachia Ammos in Crete. His testimony was very interesting and intriguing and I want to reproduce it here without any safety of its reliability. According to this witness therefore, he saw a stand of dwarf exemplaries in the 80's with no signs of whatever cultivation and those plants were resembling the dwarf specimen of Trava with leaves of very thick texture which were also some how purple, not only the petioles but also the blades, just like young Bismarckia and young Livistona decipiens use to be occasionally. This place has been very probably been built up now.
