Da, Changsha mandarina je još otpornija. Navodno ih ima i u Dallasu, sjev. Texas, zona 8a. Kažu da im okus ploda nije baš neki. Moja satsuma i kukquat su na podlozi Poncirusa. Te sadnice kod nas proizvodi rasadnik iz Metkovića. Raduje me ako satsuma može do -13 C. Nisam našao tako optimistične podatke na internetu, jer navodno je zima 1911 u Teksasu s temperaturama oko -13,5 C pokosila proizvodnju satsume:
"The coastal area near Houston and Beaumont had a citrus “boom” until February, 1911, when the temperature dropped to -13.3°C at Alvin. Most growers were lucky to save 10 percent of their trees. This was followed by the 1915 hurricane, so the Texas Orchard Development Company moved its operations to the Lower Rio Grande Valley where a railroad had recently been built."
