Hibridi phoenixa

Trebalo bi raskotiti ovog križanca,pa ih dalje križati sa drugim phoenixima.Ima li ko sjemena?

Stavio sam ono sjeme sa slike klijati pa ti se javim

First sprouts of the reclinata x dactylifera cross. Seedlings have quite stiff leaves, about three times stiffer than the seedlings reclinata x roebelenii. They still grow inside the propagator, where it is quite moist and semi-shady. So I reckon that new leaves growing in full sun outdoors will be very hard textured.

End of growth season for my hybrid reclinata x roebelenii. It has spent first time whole season outdoors and still looks very gracile, a feature inherited from father (roebelenii) with soft, long, very linear pinnae. Very little 'hardening off' since exposure in the open air. Glad that I do not have another canary in the end.
Ante, you'd better take good care of the reclinata x roebelenii hybrid.

beautiful palm, of course few more years in pot with nice food and then maybe somewhere in warm  sunny and nice prepared place in the garden with protecting it in the winter...

First ripe fruit. Always near the left margin of the pictures. On the opposite right side 4 dates and their seeds from my garden. Hybrid fruits taste like genuine dates, nothing else to miss but just more flesh, although flesh is more than by other Phoenix spp, so I think only real difference is in size!!!

Same plants near the end of current growing season. Perhaps in bigger pots they would have performed much better.
